on 11th there is a pedestrian bridge that one can take to get you to the north side of Clear Creek where the Library (and Market) is located. You'll have to go back on Washington to get to 11th, but once parked just passed Illinois St.

One can access this parking area if you go down to 11th Street. If it is too busy it might be easiest to park on the other side of Clear Creek (the south side).

Parking at the Library to go to the market is a no-no, so you'll have to find a spot for your car elsewhere. It is located just to the west of the library, but do not park in that lot if you plan on going to the market. It's every Saturday (unless otherwise noted) from 10am to 1pm. I biked my daughter to the Golden Library and because it was a Saturday, I guess the Farmer's Market is there during the summer. I just went to this for the first time this last weekend. Pro Tip: The market is a quick walk to Main Street, which is filled with shops, restaurants and a killer view of the river. LASTLY, the vendors themselves are wonderfully nice, sweet and provide a unique variety of options! We noshed on fresh croissants, sipped on fresh squeezed lemonade, came home with beautiful handmade jewelry and found it the perfect way to spend the morning! It's arranged in a large square with vendors throughout and food trucks and drinks stationed at in one corner with perfect access to shade and spots to sit. It's the perfect size in that it's not overwhelmingly huge but spread out nicely to easily maneuver about. SECONDLY, the market itself is small but spread out in a spacious parking lot on the river. In kicking off the season and wanting to experience something new, we opted to explore the Golden Farmer's Market, which was so fun.įIRST of all, the city of Golden is cute, quaint little town nestled in the base of the foothills and gives off the small-town vibes, yet close to the city! Parking is a little tricky in the area, as the surrounding side streets require a parking permit, so be prepared to walk a few blocks, but I assure you, the cute homes and scenery are worth it! Summer life is the best life in that Farmer's Markets are back!
